Why We Love It

What is a Retinol? Do I Need It?
Retinol is the most common form of retinoid, the most popular and studied anti-aging ingredient in skincare! Up until around your early 30s, cells regenerate every 28 days leaving you with a fresh layer of new skin at the end of each cycle. That's why we always recommend using products for at least a month to see the results! As we age, however, this cycle extends so we are left with older cells on the surface of our skin for longer. This appears as dull and hyperpigmented skin more prone to dehydration, fine lines, and congestion. Retinoids signal cells for a faster cycle, pushing out those dead cells and encouraging new cells to the surface faster. Regular use of a retinoid helps maintain a faster cycle for plumper, brighter and smoother skin over time. So do you need it? If you're in your mid-twenties or if you've started to notice some fine lines, less plumpness, congestion or stubborn pigmentation, then we highly recommend you add a retinoid to your routine!
The Starter Retinoid
Frankly's Retinol is a great starter retinoid with an effective concentration of 0.1% retinol. If you're a beginner at this concentration, you'll notice smoother, brighter skin with reduced fine lines and congestion over time. We recommend starting with a once-a-week application and gradually increasing frequency to allow your skin to adjust. You can use it up to five times a week or more, depending on your preference. If you're looking for something stronger, our collection of retinals—retinol's more potent counterpart—may be a better fit.

Best retinol for starters
Retinol for beginners. Did not dry out my skin compared to other retinols. :) Must try!
Really great for starters and those who want to start thwir anti aging wrinkle free journey! Already on my second tub and i am loving it. Definetely worth a try
I bought this for my husband because he's been concerned about how his skin has aged since having kids. So far, so good, no adverse reactions and it works well with other skincare I purchased for him to start his skincare journey. Highly recommend for beginners of Retinol.
I didn't experience some irration with this retinol. It calms my skin everytime I use it, and also serves like a moisturizer. Would love to try the 0.3 but it's sold out now.
