Tone Up Right

The weather and recent holidays mean that my skin has turned an unattractive pallid grey. It’s “mas maputi,” yes, but it looks like I’ve been sicker than usual. (Blame it on the every 2 week URTI that my toddler catches from other kids.) Enter the @iunik_official Rose Galactomyces Silky Tone-up Cream. The texture is so light for something that feels so soothing to my dehydrated acne/prone skin. My skin doesn’t feel like an oil slick after, nor does it look chalky and dry. It leaves a bit of a cast, as it is a tone-up cream, but I think the very light pink tint works to cancel out the greenish tones of my warm olive skin so that the usual ashen color I get at this time of the year looks much healthier. Think, Paris filter on IG stories. The very delicate rose scent is a definite win for me because it reminds me of fresh rose buds just about to open instead of heavy artificial rose oil. Bonus is that it reminds me both of my beloved late grandmother who indulged my love for roses, and of St. Therese of the Child Jesus to whom I prayed for guidance in the past days. Claiming that this is a sign of answered prayers! Thank you so much @seekspace for this!

This cream is best suited for fair skin than a darker skin tones, cause it leaves a whitecast and it pills.

My sensitive skin didn't like this. I got breakouts. The rose fragrance is too strong. This is perfect for oily and not sensitive skin.
